Welcome
Stephen Quinlan, licensed therapist with a private clinical practice in Dover, NH.
Seeking help with things that are going on in your life is one of the most difficult things that you can do. The good news is, you have already taken the first step towards making things better.
I have extensive experience in working with children and teens with the following:
-Selective Mutism
-Autism/Asperger's Disorder
-Social Anxiety/ Generalized Anxiety
I also conduct parental assistance/ behavioral strategy sessions in order to help facilitate the best possible outcomes of treatment. Consultations with schools are also available.
I make use of several different approaches in order to best help you or your child. I believe that there is no one approach that best suits all needs. I start with building a solid therapeutic relationship as a foundation for the work. Everyone is unique and thus deserves a unique approach that will best suit their needs. I also believe that therapy should be fun! For children, movement and playing games all help to reduce anxiety and increase participation in treatment.
"We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them."
