Out-of-Network Therapy for Greater Privacy and Flexibility

I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not work directly with any insurance companies. While this may feel like a barrier at first, it also comes with several important benefits for you as a client:
  • No diagnosis required: You are not required to receive a mental health diagnosis in order to begin therapy with me.
  • Full privacy and confidentiality: Insurance companies will not have access to your treatment records or any personal health information.
  • Complete control over your treatment: Together, we can determine the length, frequency, and type of therapy that best meets your needs—without restrictions or limitations imposed by insurance policies.

How Payment and Reimbursement Work

My session fee is $300 per session, including the initial evaluation. All sessions are self-pay, and payment is due at the time of each session.
If you have out-of-network benefits as part of your insurance plan, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement. Here's how that process works:
  1. You pay upfront for each session.
  2. If you'd like, I can submit a claim electronically on your behalf.
  3. If your plan offers out-of-network coverage, your insurance company will reimburse you directly for a portion of the session fee.
In this case, I would be required to provide a diagnosis to the insurance company as part of the claim. However, your insurance provider will still not have access to your treatment records or be involved in your care decisions.

Curious About Your Coverage?

If you’re not sure whether your plan includes out-of-network benefits, I can help. I’m able to look up most major insurance plans online and give you an estimate of your coverage. You’re also welcome to call your insurance provider directly. If you’d like, I can guide you on what questions to ask to better understand your benefits.
Feel free to reach out with any questions about insurance, reimbursement, or fees. I'm happy to walk you through the process and help make it as seamless as possible.
